Omicron Collegiate Corporation Scholarships

Shirley Memorial Scholarship This
scholarship is open to any student at Western Carolina University but
preference will be given to members of TKE, their
descendants, and other deserving students in obtaining a degree from
Western Carolina University.
The scholarship is in memory of
Doug Shirley, Scroll Number 109 who was killed in the Vietnam War just
after graduation from WCU. Doug was a great brother, great leader, and
he touched everyone he met in a special way.
ZO TKE
Endowed Scholarship This
scholarship is open to any student at Western Carolina University but
preference will be given to members of TKE, their
descendants, and other deserving students in obtaining a degree from
Western Carolina University.
The scholarship honors the
memory of other deceased ZO TEKES. Scholarships
will be awarded in an amount to be determined by the Zeta Omicron
Collegiate Corporation Scholarship Committee. A recipient may apply
annually for a total of 4 years within a 5 year consecutive period of
time if the recipient has (1) maintained a cumulative grade point
average of 3.00, (2) declared a major by the end of sophomore year, and
(3) maintained the status of full time student. The
ideal candidate will demonstrate good moral character, leadership,
community service, and financial need. Scholarship grants will be
awarded directly into the recipients account by Western Carolina
University. The recipients of the scholarships are
determined by the Scholarship Committee of Zeta Omicron Collegiate
Corporation of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and the administration of
Western Carolina University. Below are general criteria that will be
used to determine the recipient of the scholarship: Qualifications

three individuals complete Part 3 of the application forms. Two of these
individuals should be current professors/teachers or school personnel
