Selection of the recipients of these awards shall be made by a committee comprised of the current membership of the ZOCC. The committee shall submit the names of the recipients to the University Scholarship Committee for affirmation and award according to the following criteria:

a. Recipients must be a full time students in good standing at Western Carolina University.

b. Recipients must be a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, or the descendant of a member, or other deserving students as determined by the Scholarship Committee.

c. Recipients must demonstrate community and civic involvement.

d. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 grade point average and have no sanctions in force at the time of the award.

e. The recipients must send a letter of appreciation to:
